Just 3km east of the CBD, the exclusive peninsula suburb of Darling Point was named in honor of Governor Darling?s wife (it was originally known as Mrs Darling?s Point).

This peaceful, leafy enclave has its origins dating back to the 1830s. A number of prestigious private schools are located nearby, reflecting the affluent nature of the area. These include Ascham and Kambala for girls, the co-ed Reddam House and the boys? schools Scots College, Sydney Grammar and Cranbrook.

Buses run regularly along Darling Point Road, you can catch a ferry to the city from gorgeous McKell Park or jump on a train at Edgecliff Station.
